Why your own site still matters
Marketplaces bring traffic, but your cars sit next to your competitors' cars, and the buyer belongs to the marketplace. Your own site is the one place where the buyer only sees you.
The checklist
1. Your name and your domain. The site should be yours, not a page on someone else's platform.
2. Stock that stays up to date. Adding a car, changing a price or marking it sold should take seconds, without calling anyone.
3. A WhatsApp button on every car. The buyer should reach you in one tap, with the car already in the message.
4. Fast on a phone. Most buyers will open your site on a phone, often from an ad.
5. Your buyers' languages. If your buyers speak several languages, each car page should too.
6. You own the leads. Ask in writing who owns the buyer data and whether you can export it.
7. Clear pricing. Check the setup fee, the monthly fee, what each change costs, and how long the contract runs.
8. Someone to call. Ask how fast support answers, and how.
Questions to ask before you sign
Can I cancel any time? What happens to my site and my data if I leave? Are site changes included? Can I see a live site of a current client?
